After a great success last year, Sundays Saver fares are back!
Every Sunday from 10 January until the end of March 2010, you can enjoy any single bus journey within Cornwall for a £1 (adult) or 60p (child) flat fare. (If you are a Concessionary Fares card holder, you can still travel for free!) Cornwall Council has teamed up with bus operators First Devon & Cornwall and Western Greyhound to offer this fantastic promotion that will enable you to ‘Get around for less’. In 2009, the Sunday Saver promotion encouraged an increase in passengers of 57%!
We have also approached local businesses to give them the opportunity to get involved and offer attractive discounts to people using public transport. A link to the list of discounts available to those who present a valid bus ticket can be found on the left of this page ‘Attraction Discounts’ and ‘Other Discounts’. These discounts are available all year round when the venue is open. Just remember to keep your ticket with you to qualify for any discounts.

Perhaps you’d like to go for a coast walk or have lunch in a country pub but don’t know if it’s possible to make the journey on public transport. Check out our map of the Sunday bus network from the link on the left and you will be able to see where you can go. Note down the service no. of the bus you need and go to the Timetables and Frequencies page. From here you can print off the timetables that you will need to make your journey.
Above all, we hope that you enjoy your Sunday Saver day out and would love to hear about your experiences. Please email them to us at: ptu@cornwall.gov.uk
Businesses: there is still time to get involved! If you would like your business to feature on here with an associated offer, email your details to: ptu@cornwall.gov.uk |
